The Keys Appeal
St Peter's Church in Action

Extending our building to extend our services

The Parish Church of St. Peters South Weald is currently engaged in a major refurbishment project to include the construction of a new community hall, kitchen and toilet facilities.

So far we have raised
£502,281
but we need £750,000.

It's very exciting that on the 1st March 2010 we were able to start our building work. Although the Appeal has yet to reach its target we are in a position to proceed because we have realised funds from the sale of a property bequeathed to us many years ago. We will, however, continue to fund raise for the project as ultimately, we wish to use as little of this money as possible.

We look forward to the time when the church will benefit from meeting rooms, a kitchen and other facilities fit for the 21st century.

Our Keys to the Future Appeal aims to:-

Serve our community
  • By our church primary school

  • By providing a place of peace and prayer

  • By groups such as our mother & toddlers

  • By pastoral care and visiting

  • By making our facilities available for others to use

  • By weddings, funerals and baptisms
Grow seeds of faith

  • In our worship, to the glory of God

  • With children, giving them faith by which to live

  • With adults, deepening our discipleship as we seek to follow the God of love

  • As a sign to those who pass by
Look outward to our world

  • By our charitable giving as a church

  • By our concern with global issues through involvement with national and international bodies

  • By our support of Judy Acheson. Judy has worked for many years in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She works for the Anglican Church in that country with the Church Mission Society, training youth workers.
